Fees

We are a mixed billing practice and payment at the time of visit is required.  If you have a Medicare card you are eligible for a rebate and this will go back into your bank account overnight.

All patients (Private and Concession) can claim their Medicare rebate electronically at the front desk after payment for consultations. 

Payments vary depending on consultation and medical procedure.

Procedure Fees

There are some out of pocket fees for certain procedures at the practice, for use of our treatment room and consumables.

  • Excisions
  • Iron Infusions
  • Implanon (Removal and Insertion)
  • Procedures

These fees are for all patients and are payable on the day of your appointment (or for excisions, on the day of your removal of stitches appointment).

The fees are not claimable with Medicare.

The out of pocket fee for excisions is $110.

Iron infusions are $182.90 with a Medicare rebate of $82.90.  Supplies from Pharmacy purchsed in addition.

For all other procedures you will be notified of any out of pocket costs by your doctor or reception staff.

Notice of Fee Increase 

Toowoomba Medical Centre review their fees on 1 July each year and aligns it with the Medicare annual rebate increase. Communcaition about this is available in the practice newsletter and at reception.

WORKCOVER CLAIMS 

All patients who have sustained an injury and require a medical certificate for Workcover will be required to pay for their initial consultation and claim their refund through Workcover or their employer.

Any subsequent appointments will be billed to WorkCover Qld or your employer provided a Claim number is provided at the time of your appointment.

Unfortunately the practice is unable to bill directly to WorkCover or another claim provider without a claim number provided at the time of your appointment.
