New patients will be given a 30-minute appointment to allow the GP time to learn about their previous history and medical conditions.
Emergency appointments will be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there will be any delays or your GP has been called away.
Let your receptionist know if/why you need a longer consultation. We don’t mind if you need more time and we want to make sure we give each patient the time they need.
If in doubt, always ask the receptionist when making an appointment.
Examples of longer consultations include (but not limited to):
- First appointment - You can complete your new patient details form ahead of time - Download Now
- Pregnancy check-ups
- Insurance medical
- Cervical screening
- A ‘list’ of health checks or concerns
- Including more than one person in the appointment (eg. Partner/child etc)
- If you need an interpreter
