Skin cancer is a serious condition in Australia. Our time spent in the sun is unfortunately leading us to a greater risk of skin cancer.
Figures now show that over 80% of cancer related diagnoses are from skin cancer. This is an alarming number.
Skin cancer however is not always caused by exposure to sunlight but may in fact come from tanning and solariums. It is important to have your skin checked regularly both by a doctor, and by doing your own self-examination. If you notice any moles, freckles or lumps which appear suddenly, change is color, shape or size, you should immediately book an appointment with your doctor.
